Accountants of Provinces in region 19 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God recently held their maiden conference at Dominion Sanctuary, Region 19 headquarters Parish, Acme with the theme, “Cashless economy and the Church Accountants”.
Delivering a paper on Cashless Economy and RCCG Accountants, the Financial Controller of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Joseph Adeyokunnu informed the participants that the mission was already keyed to the cashless accounting system as obtainable in any developed organization. He urged the accountants to ensure its perfection and strictly adhered to the dictum – no physical handling of cash whatsoever.

Speaking on the importance of the conference to Region 19, the Region Accountant, Mrs Taiwo Atai said even
though the region was just a year older few months ago, the impact to be generated from the conference would be tremendous in ensuring effective accounting management in various provinces under the region.
“Just like the topic says, Cashless economy…, we desire that Church accountants will not be left behind. Some people might look at it that we are just working in a Church. Even if we are working in a Church, we desire to be relevant in our profession. Considering the CBN policy and economy regulation, we also desire to be able to go along with it.” Ataye affirmed.
Among facilitators at the conference were Pastor Tayo Adeniyi and Pastor Olanrewaju.
